Free ROM Estimator
Calculate Your Range of Motion
Enter your joint measurements. Get instant structural pattern probability and compare against population norms. Same methodology our coaches use with paying clients.
Three steps to your structural pattern
Enter Your Measurements
Input your ROM numbers for each joint. The tool guides you through all 18 measurement positions with visual references.
Get Your Pattern
Instant structural pattern classification based on your data. See where you fall relative to population norms.
See Priorities
The estimator flags your biggest deviations and ranks them by impact. You know exactly what needs attention first.
Built on real assessment methodology
18 ROM Measurements
Covers every major joint: shoulder, hip, thoracic, cervical, ankle, wrist. Bilateral comparison included.
Pattern Classification
Your measurements map to one of six structural patterns. This drives every programming decision.
Population Norms
See how your numbers compare to healthy reference ranges, stratified by age and activity level.
Priority Ranking
Not all deviations matter equally. The tool ranks your findings by structural impact.

Common questions
How accurate is a self-measured ROM test?
Self-measurement has inherent variability -- typically +/- 5 degrees versus clinical goniometry. The tool accounts for this by using ranges rather than exact cutoffs. For precision, the full assessment with a certified coach uses standardized measurement protocols.
What equipment do I need?
Nothing. All measurements use body-position-based estimation. No goniometer required. If you have one, the tool accepts exact degree inputs for higher accuracy.
How long does it take?
About 10-15 minutes for all 18 positions. You can save progress and come back.
What happens with my data?
Nothing is stored unless you create an account. The calculator runs client-side. No tracking, no cookies, no email required.
How is this different from the full assessment?
The free tool uses self-reported measurements and simplified pattern matching. The full AKMI assessment uses 18 standardized tests administered by a certified coach, AI video analysis, and generates a complete Strategic Brief with programming protocols.
