Dynamic Foot Tripod Assessment (Gait)

Foot Professional Assessment Kit Pattern Analysis foot

Setup

Client walking barefoot on a flat surface. Camera at ground level capturing both feet from the posterior and lateral views. At least 10 gait cycles should be observed.

Cueing

Step 1: Observe the tripod (heel, first MTP, fifth MTP) contact sequence during mid-stance and propulsion. Step 2: Note which point of the tripod is absent or delayed. Step 3: Watch for: excessive medial collapse (lost lateral tripod), rigid supination (lost medial tripod), toe gripping (compensating for lost heel tripod). Step 4: Observe timing -- does the tripod distribute load sequentially heel-to-toe or does it collapse simultaneously?

Measurement

Pattern select: full-tripod-bilateral / lost-medial-left / lost-medial-right / lost-lateral-left / lost-lateral-right / bilateral-collapse. Note any timing asymmetries between LEFT and RIGHT feet.

Modality

Supported: Remote / Active
Not available: In-Person / Passive
