Toe Touch Pattern

Full Body Professional Assessment Kit Movement Screen full body

Setup

Client standing, feet together, knees straight. Camera lateral view.

Cueing

Step 1: 'Bend forward and reach toward your toes. Keep your knees straight.' Step 2: Note where the fingertips reach: floor, ankles, shins, knees. Step 3: Observe movement strategy: does lumbar flex first? Do hips hinge? Is there excessive thoracic rounding? Weight shift forward or back? Step 4: After standing back up, retest with a 2-inch heel lift under both feet. If improved significantly, the limitation is ankle dorsiflexion or posterior chain length, not lumbar mobility.

Measurement

Distance from fingertips to floor in cm. Positive = above floor (restricted). 0 = touches floor. Negative = past floor (hypermobile). Record with and without heel lift.

Modality

Supported: Remote / Active
Not available: In-Person / Passive
