Cueing
Step 1: 'Keeping your lower back still, extend backward through the upper back, opening your chest toward the ceiling.' Step 2: Hold 2 s. Watch for: lumbar hyperextension (the most common compensation -- must isolate T-spine). Pressure: 0/10.
Measurement
Measure thoracic kyphosis angle change from seated neutral to end-range extension. Normal: 20-30 deg change. Inclinometer placed at T1 and T12.
