Client standing in natural posture, barefoot. Minimal clothing. Photos from: (A) anterior, (B) posterior, (C) left lateral, (D) right lateral. Use a plumb line or vertical reference in the background.

Cueing

Step 1: 'Stand as you normally would. Do not try to stand up straight.' Step 2: Observe against the plumb line: Lateral view: ear over shoulder, shoulder over hip, hip over knee, knee over ankle (lateral malleolus). Frontal view: shoulder height symmetry, iliac crest height, ASIS alignment, knee alignment (valgus/varus), foot position. Posterior: scapular symmetry, spine alignment, gluteal fold height, calcaneal position.

Measurement

Free text: document all deviations from ideal alignment. Structure: [View]: [Region]: [Finding]. Include: forward head posture (cm from plumb line), kyphosis degree, lordosis classification, scoliosis observation.
