Squat Pattern Assessment

Full Body Professional Assessment Kit Pattern Analysis full body

Setup

Client standing, feet shoulder-width, toes slightly out (5-15 degrees). Arms out in front or across the chest. Camera: frontal + lateral views. Coach observes from multiple angles.

Cueing

Step 1: 'Squat down as deep as you comfortably can, like sitting in a chair.' Step 2: Repeat 3 times. Observe: feet (pronation, heel lift), knees (valgus collapse, tracking over toes), hips (depth, symmetry, lateral shift), trunk (forward lean, rotation), arms (compensatory reaching). Step 3: Score: 5 = full depth, symmetrical, no compensations. 4 = minor compensations (slight heel rise or knee valgus). 3 = moderate (significant knee valgus or trunk lean). 2 = major restrictions (cannot reach parallel). 1 = cannot perform safely.

Measurement

Scale 1-5. Additionally note all compensations observed as free text: 'knee-valgus-bilateral, heel-rise-right, trunk-forward-lean'.
