Single Leg Stance (Trendelenburg)
Setup
Client standing, shorts or tight clothing to see hip line. Coach observes from behind. Camera posterior.
Cueing
Step 1: 'Stand on your LEFT leg. Lift the RIGHT foot off the ground by bending the knee to 90 degrees.' Step 2: Hold 30 seconds. Step 3: Observe the pelvis: does the contralateral (right) side drop? That indicates weak LEFT hip abductors (positive Trendelenburg). Step 4: Repeat on RIGHT leg. Also observe: trunk lateral lean, excessive arm use.
Measurement
Pattern: negative (pelvis stays level) / positive-left (pelvis drops when standing on left) / positive-right / positive-bilateral. Note hold time if less than 30 seconds.
