Setup
Client standing, feet shoulder-width. Arms overhead (holding a dowel or PVC pipe with wide grip). Camera: frontal + lateral.
Cueing
Step 1: 'Keep your arms straight overhead. Squat as deep as you can.' Step 2: 3 reps. Observe ALL of the squat pattern compensations PLUS: arms falling forward (latissimus/thoracic restriction), excessive trunk lean, lumbar hyperextension. Scoring: 5 = full depth, arms stay vertical, no compensations. 4 = arms drift forward slightly. 3 = significant arm drift or trunk lean. 2 = cannot maintain arms overhead. 1 = cannot perform.
