Rolling Pattern Assessment (Upper/Lower Body Integration)

Full Body Professional Assessment Kit Pattern Analysis full body

Setup

Client lying supine on a firm, flat surface (floor or wide treatment table). Arms overhead or at sides depending on rolling pattern being tested. Camera from above if possible.

Cueing

Step 1 (Upper body initiated roll): Instruct 'Roll from your back to your stomach using only your upper body to initiate. Keep your legs relaxed.' Observe LEFT and RIGHT initiation. Step 2 (Lower body initiated roll): Instruct 'Roll using only your lower body to initiate. Keep your arms relaxed.' Observe LEFT and RIGHT initiation. Step 3: Note the quality: smooth segmental rolling vs log-rolling (en-bloc). Step 4: Observe the delay -- can the client separate upper and lower body timing?

Measurement

Pattern select: segmental-bilateral / log-roll-bilateral / segmental-left-log-right / segmental-right-log-left / unable-to-initiate-upper / unable-to-initiate-lower. Note delay quality: the ability to separate upper from lower body timing during the roll is a key indicator of axial skeletal independence.

Modality

Supported: Remote / Active
Not available: In-Person / Passive
