Cueing

Step 1: Ask 'Where is your center of gravity -- do you feel more weight on your toes or heels?' Step 2: Test posterior expansion access: have client flex forward from standing (toe touch or jefferson curl). Step 3: Test anterior expansion access: have client extend backward (standing back bend). Step 4: Compare ease and range. Classify into three camps: (A) Full flexion, limited extension; (B) Full extension, limited flexion; (C) Limited in both.

Measurement

Pattern select: full-flexion-limited-extension / full-extension-limited-flexion / limited-both / balanced. This drives intervention selection: limited extension -> start prone breathing, progress active, then end-range; limited flexion -> start hook-lying, progress toe touch, then loaded jefferson curl.
